Luddenham School Every Child Can Achieve

Class 1

Eagles Class

Welcome to Eagles Class page. Please look here for information on how Eagles Class works, homework and what we are working on in the upcoming week. On this page will be details and pictures of the activities that are going on in Eagles Class. Have fun exploring!

Class Routine

Please click on the document below to find out more about Class 1 routine.

Bookbag boxes will be left under the class windows in the mornings. They will be organised by Guided Reading groups (Ants, Bears, Cats, Dogs and Elephants). The children should put their bookbag into the right box when they enter school in the morning. If it is a child's day for changing their reading books, they should go to the library when they arrive at school in the morning and change their books before coming on to the playground and putting their bookbag away.

Year 1 Curriculum

Please click on the link below for more information on the curriculum being covered in Year 1 this year. There will a topic focus for each term. Our focus for Term 3 is Toys

PE Kit

Class 1 has PE on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Please ensure that your child is fully equipped for PE and that all their PE kit including shoes is clearly named. Thank you!

Food chain paper chains

Class 1 have been learning about food chains in the natural world, so we have had a go at making some food chain paper chains to put up in the class for Christmas decorations!

Eagles Class Trip to Wildwood

Eagles Class thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Wildwood. We learned about the differences between groups of animals, and we were lucky to see a large number of the park's residents, including watching the otters and lynx being fed!

Food and Human Body Topic Introduction Activity

Eagles Class enjoyed tucking in to a wide variety of favourite dishes from home, of all kinds both savoury and sweet. Staff from across the school obviously enjoyed them too, as we had rather more visits from teachers and TAs than we would normally have!

Roald Dahl Day

Pupils (and teachers) enjoyed dressing up as characters from Roald Dahl's books to celebrate Roald Dahl day on Thursday 13th September! We also had a go at inventing new kinds to vegetables to match the infamous snozzcumber (read more about them in The BFG).
