Welcome to Class 6's page! Here you will find any relevant information about what is going on in our class including homework and what we have been getting up to on our learning journey. This year we are lucky to have a large amount of adults working within Class 6 helping us prepare for our SATs later in the year. Literacy will occur first thing in the morning and be taught by Miss Blay with Mrs Reid and Miss George supporting this. Maths will be taught after break where we will be lucky enough to have three teaching groups for Maths, which will change throughout the year. This will involve one group being taught by Mr Wickham, another by Mrs Reid and the final group by Miss Blay.
In Class 6 we will be using the Class Dojo points system where every child has their own icon and children will be awarded points for doing the right thing, good answers and working hard. As easily as points can be awarded, these can also be taken away. Each week the children will be given the opportunity to earn these points and then at the end of the week there will be a small prize for the boy and girl who has earnt the most amount of points.
For Term 1 our PE days are Monday and Friday (though this may change throughout the year). Children are expected to have their complete PE kits in school for these days and must be prepared to remove any earrings for the lessons. If your child can come in without these it will make the transition between lessons much smoother and quicker.
If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to ask us.
Miss Blay, Miss George and Mrs Reid.
