Subject: Important Information - School Closure
Good afternoon Parents/Guardians
We hope you are well and enjoying the snow.
We apologise for having to close the school, but the lanes around the school are treacherous and very dangerous to drive and walk on. Class teachers have been asked to update their class web pages with learning to do at home so please keep an eye on the website.
Unfortunately, although the front of the school has been cleared from snow, the roads getting to the school are still treacherous and with this in mind it is looking likely we will have to close again tomorrow. However, we will try and open the school tomorrow if at all possible, but until we have assessed the conditions of the roads in the morning, we are unable to confirm at this present time.
If we are able to open we may be off timetable depending on staff being able to make it safely into school. If we do open and you feel it would be unsafe to bring your child into school, your attendance record will not be affected. Please be advised if we do manage to open tomorrow, there will be no Breakfast or After School Club available.
We will postpone World Book Day (Thursday, 1st March) and Non-Uniform Day (Friday, 2nd March) until the following Friday, 9th March and there will be NO swimming.
Please keep an eye on the school website and we will endeavour to reach you all by email tomorrow morning.
Thank you for your cooperation and apologies for the inconvenience.
Mrs K Wilson
