We believe that every child can achieve and we encourage

our children to "be part of something good."

Luddenham School was founded as a Dame School in 1850 till March 6th 1871. In consequence of the passing of the Education act it was thought desirable to place the school under Government, and a committee was formed for that purpose. In 2012 the school took an additional step forward and converted to an academy.

When Luddenham first opened there were just 43 children in a single room. In the 50's the numbers fell to 23 and the low roll brought the threat of closure. Today Luddenham welcomes more than 200 pupils through the gates as a one form entry school. To accommodate the increased numbers, the school site has changed over the years with new buildings and an expansion of the school field.

Tea towels for the academic year are now available from school for £4 each.
