Hello Robins Class!
I am so excited for September when we can all be together as Robins class, with Mrs Gray and Mrs Paisley, too. Before we start in September, I would love to get to know you all a little bit more, and I would like for you to get to know me more as well. I have created a task for you all to complete so that I can learn a little bit more about you all. I have attached an example of my version below so that you can see what I am looking for. When you have completed your task, please send them over to me by email to email@example.com
It would be lovely to hear from you before September, so please send me a quick email to say hello and to tell me what you are looking forward to for this coming year!
Create your own 'All About Me'
I have chosen to do mine on the computer, but you can create yours on paper.
Write your name in bubble writing and write all of the things that you like inside of your name. In the background, draw pictures of the things you like. Try to make your picture nice and colourful and include lots of different things that you like. I will be looking to see all of your lovely, neat handwriting as well as your neat colourings, so please take your time with this activity. Your name should be the main part of this picture, so please make sure your bubble writing name is the biggest part of your page.
I am really looking forward to seeing your wonderful, creative pictures!
Half Term British Library Writing Challenge!
Some of the oldest Children's Books in The British Library are smaller than our hands! They have shared some of these mini-books and have tasked you to create one for yourself! To find out more information about these tiny stories and how to make your own, please follow this link: https://www.bl.uk/childrens-books/activities/make-a-miniature-book
If you make one of your own, we would love to see your pictures!
Please send them over to Miss Reddey at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll proudly display them on our Reasons to be Cheerful page. You'll even get a certificate for taking part in the challenge!
Best Wishes Mrs Blaxill
