Mental Health and Wellbeing
At Luddenham, we are committed to supporting the whole child. This includes approaches that support the child academically, socially and personally.
We have a wellbeing working party who meet termly to discuss the current approaches being used and their impact as well as consideration of what more we can do.
The well-being working party includes our Senior Mental Health Lead, Mrs Vincett. It also includes our Family Liaison Officer, Mrs Kent who is currently training as a SMHL, Mrs Yates, class teacher, Mr Boorman, class teacher and Mr Crabb, Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
Mrs Kent works very closely with our Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner. She is part of the NELFT Emotional well-being teams who support pupils and parents on an individual, as well as, small group level in terms of anxiety and behaviour at home.
At school, she is currently working with a small group of children on a programme called Brain Buddies, which supports children with emotion regulation.
