OPAL Play and Learning
What is OPAL play?
At Luddenham, we use OPAL play to enrich the playtime experience. Children are provided with various materials and loose parts to promote well-being, encourage positive behaviour, and offer opportunities to develop new skills.
Here is Ted The Tidy Up Flamingo, which goes to a class every week with the tidiest zone on the playground!
When children get to year 6, they get the opportunity to become a play leader. The play leaders are essential to making our playground run smoothly!
Below are two documents that can tell you a little more about how Opal works here at Luddenham.
The Play Charter shows the agreement between all involved on how we play so it is fun and safe for all.
The Bingo card is a way to help keep loose parts coming into school to support our play.
